On March 24, the Palm Beach County School District in Florida begins its spring break and will run through March 28, with another day off on March 31. Meanwhile, authorities in Miami Beach and Fort Lauderdale, two of the most popular Spring Break destinations, are already asking visitors to respect rules designed to keep them and residents of these cities safe, the statement said. As the date approaches, the restrictions that will be implemented for the common good in the cities that receive the most tourists for the holidays are coming to light.

For example, Fort Lauderdale has already announced a ban on alcohol, coolers and tents on beaches, as well as loud music and live performances. The city will also increase the presence of police officers.

Fort Lauderdale Police Chief Bill Schultz warned that they will be everywhere to safeguard peace and order.

“Yes, with rules, you can still have fun. Trust your instincts. If a situation doesn’t feel safe, it probably isn’t. Please communicate with your friends, with officers, with restaurant and bar staff, and keep an eye on your drink. Never leave it unattended,” he said.

Fort Lauderdale's spring break restrictions will be extended through April 12 as additional days off for students in several South Florida districts are available.

March 31st is a work day for many state teachers, but it will be a holiday for students, as will April 18th, another Good Friday holiday.
